The STORM 1200x is a breakthrough lighting fixture designed to cater to a diverse range of professionals within the film and photography industries calling for highoutput and versatile lights, including cinematographers, lighting technicians, videographers, and photographers.
- The STORM 1200x utilizes a new BLAIR five-color (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red) light engine to better fill out the color spectrum while offering greater adjustability.
- The calibrated Indigo enhances fluorescing materials, resulting in a higher quality white light that better matches natural daylight and black body sources such as tungsten quartz, CRI 95+, SSI [P3200]): 87, SSI (CIE D5600): 87
- We compared the color response for natural daylight, a traditional bi-color LED, and the STORM 1200x together and found huge, but subtle differences in the objects that fluoresce.
- The BLAIR Light Engine enables the STORM 1200x to offer a greater range of CCT than traditional bi-colors and is the first light of its kind to offer 100% +/- Green control, the full ASC MITC range of adjustment.
- The STORM 1200x has so much color range Aputure has even added an x,y Coordinate mode for greater precision control.
- Bit-depth control is increased for improved low-end dimming. This enables the STORM 1200x to use PWM dimming all the way down to 0.1% without shifts or dropoff. Color accuracy is maintained throughout the brightness range, even at extreme low brightness levels.
- The STORM lights feature the ProLock Locking Bowens Mount, a more secure clamping design for attaching modifiers. Bowens accessories are held rigidly in place and precision optics such as fresnels and Spotlight projectors are precisely aligned with the light engine.
- Head-to-toe IP65 dust and weather protection means the STORM 1200x can work in extreme environments. Seals on every connector and around components allow not only the lamphead but also the control box and cabling to be used outside in the rain.

The F10 Barn Doors is a light shaping accessory for use with larger Bowens-Mount lights and Fresnel modifiers. The F10 Barn Doors are directly compatible with Aputure's 10" Glass Fresnel Lens Modifier, the F10 Fresnel, as well as the included black reflector dish, or Negative Reflector.
The Aputure F10 Barn Doors utilizes a large 8-leaf design to properly cut the light from the large aperture of the F10 Fresnel's 10-inch front element. The black reflector dish that comes with the F10 Barn Doors is ideal for users who desire precise, clean light shaping from their barn doors. By minimizing the light source's size and eliminating any material that would increase the aperture of the LED, this black reflector helps the F10 Barn Doors create even sharper shadows.
Rather than the wire-clamp mechanism used by smaller barn doors typically made for LEDs, the F10 Barndoors features a heavy-duty drop-in latching mechanism, durable enough for even the most rigorous of film sets. The F10 Barn Doors also feature a safety cable and mounting point pre-mounted onto the barn doors to ensure maximum security. These barn doors are the industrial-grade accessory for which the modular LED industry has been waiting.

Building upon the same design as the classic Aputure Lantern, the Lantern 90 pairs the same quick-build system with an even larger surface area to provide an even softer volumetric lighting solution. At 90cm, the Lantern 90 has the same diameter as Aputure’s Light Dome II modifier, with even more diffused surface area, allowing the Lantern to instantly light up large spaces. The Aputure F10 Fresnel is the first Bowens Mount Fresnel on the market made to match the size of traditional 10-inch Fresnel lights like a tungsten 5K, with a 250mm diameter lens made of real glass. The size of this Fresnel allows filmmakers to get punchy hard-light that maintains a subtle soft quality that is perfect for dramatic expression. As an Aputure Fresnel, this modifier also uses dual-lens optical design, utilizing a condenser lens to refocus the light from a flat-chip COB LED to optimize it for the front Fresnel element, further enhancing the fixture’s illuminance. When combined with the Aputure LS 600d Pro, the fixture can output over 29,300 lux at 3 meters.
To ergonomically and precisely adjust its variable 15°-45°beam angle, the F10 Fresnel uses Aputure’s helicoid focus design from the Fresnel 2X. The F10 also incorporates a ventilation design that prevents the COB from overheating, while also minimizing any light leaks. The drop-in accessory slot is compatible with Aputure’s F10 Barn Doors, which provide 8 leaves made to properly cut light from the large Fresnel.
