This allows Canon and Nikon lenses to focus in same direction when using a follow focus. The gear box is precision engineered to ensure zero backlash. The Zip Focus pivots and adjusts to fit any lens, and utilizes a minimal amount of space. The included .8 mod cine lens gear and friction gear can be flipped to the front or back position which is helpful for compact lens configurations. The hard stop disc can be used with DSLR lenses with infinite focus rotation and two standard marking discs are included for cine lenses. SHAPE single rod follow focus SKU: FA123 Use the compact SHAPE Follow Focus Kit with Single 15 mm Rod Clamp with your camera setup to make focus pulling easy. The modular design allows you to add and remove any of the components without screws or tools, and its small profile allows the addition of a matte box or accessories around your lens.  At the core of the kit is a rubber, anti-slip follow focus wheels attached to a single aluminum 15 mm rod clamp. The clamp rotates to adjust to most lens sizes, and it’s tightened by a locking lever. The clamp’s rotation also allows the focus wheel to easily swing out of the way when changing lenses. Five drive gears are included to fit a variety of lens sizes: 0.5 MOD/78T, 0.6 MOD/64T, 0.8 MOD/38T, 0.8 MOD/43T, and 0.8 MOD/78T. The gears can be flipped from front to back to facilitate different lens configurations. A 49 mm rubber friction wheel is also included for the 0.5 MOD/78T gear which is most commonly used with DSLR lenses. For alternate fine-focus configurations, use the included speed crank or 11″ whip, both of which attach to the center point of the knob. The added gear has to be priced in relation, but we also have to keep the high quality that Vocas is known for. For this reason Vocas has developed a very unique follow focus that is totally different from all other follow focus systems currently in the market! Can you imagine a follow focus system that is 100% playless? The Vocas MFC-3F has no transmission between the focus knob and the drive gear, so we can guarantee a 100% playless follow focus! Read on to learn more about our newest innovation. 100% Playless The unique feature of the new follow focus system MFC-3 is that the focus knob and drive gear consist of only one part, there is no transmission in the new MFC-3. This is a direct drive, and because of the elimination of internal gears, there can never be any difference in the motion going in and going out, making it 100% playless, Vocas can guarantee you that! This design also results in the MFC-3 having a 1:1 'transmission' ratio making it ideal for lenses with a small focus throw such as DSLR lenses and smaller cameras with integrated lenses. Additionally, because of the elimination of internal gears the lifespan of the product is increased dramatically. The unique shape of the drive gear teeth is what makes this all possible. These specially shaped teeth can push the gear ring of the lens up or down when rotating the focus knob the same way a camera operator is used to Two versions There are 2 versions of the MFC-3, the standard version and the F version. The MFC-3F has one additional feature over the standard version, namely it has an adjustable friction build in. Rotating the red dial on the focus knob allows you to fine tune the internal friction of the MFC-3F to your own preference. Ergonomics This follow focus is angled slightly downwards for more comfort and can be rotated horizontally to a certain extent to make operating it even more ergonomic Reversible rotation direction The rotation direction can also be reversed. This is easily done by moving the follow focus forward and backwards to let the gear grip the lens on the left or right side of the drive gear. Palm support As with the highly successful Vocas MFC-2, a palm support accessory is available for the MFC-3. This palm support makes it possible to focus the lens and support the camera at the same time! You no longer have to worry about your camera shaking when you switch from supporting your camera to operating the follow focus.
