Wooden Camera D-Box (RED DSMC2, Power Distribution Portion Only) SKU: 235000 Wooden Camera D-Box (Weapon, Power Distribution Portion Only) is for owners of Cable-less V-Mount, Blueshape, of Gold Mount that want to add power distribution, standardized remote start/stop, and hot swap abilities to their RED DSMC2 camera. The completed Wooden Camera D-Box assembly is tool-less for installation and utilizes our Cable-less interface which attaches directly to the back of the camera body, Base Expander Module, REDVolt Expander Module, and the OffHollywood O-Mods. Connectors on the D-Box are contoured to match the Expander Modules' which allow for all cables to be installed with no collisions. The module communicates with the camera and allows any ARRI standard start/stop trigger to be used with the 3pin Fischer port. The DC input on the D-Box is the same as the camera's LEMO allowing for an AC power supply or external power plate to be connected to power accessories and camera during a battery change. When both battery and DC input are utilized, the D-Box defaults to the DC input, leaving the battery fully charged. When combined with V-Mount or Gold Mount plate, one D-Tap is obscured by the right side power outputs. Inside the D-Box is a 10A fuse and replacement fuses are included. Wooden Camera D-Box (URSA Mini, URSA Mini Pro, V-Mount) SKU: 239500 Wooden Camera D-Box (URSA Mini, V-Mount) is a custom version of our popular D-Box that adds power distribution, standardized remote start/stop, and hot swap abilities for the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro, EF, PL, B4, etc cameras. The D-Box (URSA Mini, V-Mount) attaches directly to the back of the camera body using a special Molex connector eliminating external cabling. It also interfaces with the rear LANC port which is how the D-Box controls the camera's run/stop. Connectors on the D-Box are contoured to match the URSA Mini's which allow for all cables to be installed with no collisions. The module communicates with the camera and allows any ARRI standard start/stop trigger to be used with the 3pin Fischer port. The DC input on the D-Box is a Mini 4pin XLR and the kit also includes a pigtail cable which converts to full size 4 pin XLR (same as the camera's) allowing for an AC power supply or external power plate to be connected to power accessories and camera during a battery change. When both battery and DC input are utilized, the D-Box defaults to the DC input, leaving the battery fully charged. Authentic IDX V-Mount plate provides 2x D-Tap (unregulated) on the power plate itself but we should note that one D-Tap may be obscured by the right side BNC connectors when in use. The camera receives an unfused connection to the power source and the D-Box connectors share a 7.5A fuse. When using D-Box battery modules it is important to know what amount of power your batteries are capable of providing. Most high-end cinema batteries can supply up to 10A with the URSA Mini camera generally consuming 3-4A in standard configuration. Although the remaining power is available from the D-Taps, LEMOs, Fischers, etc., it is best to limit the power draw to 5A or less for best results.
