The Unified BMPCC4K Camera Cage is designed for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K camera and features a minimalist design that provides mounting points on the top and side while leaving all of the camera's vital controls on the right grip and left side easily viewable and accessible.
The Wooden Camera Unified BMPCC4K Camera Cage includes a reversible top handle in your choose of wood or rubber, which can be repositioned over the lens area when an XLR adapter is in use. Built into the handle is a cold shoe mount and a 15mm tube clamp for mounting any of our UVF Mount kits used with 3rd party electronic viewfinders. The handle can also fold down when packing your bag and can even be reconfigured onto the left, vertical 15mm rod for a secondary grip!
The bottom portion of the cage includes a Manfrotto quick release dovetail which can attach to a variety of Manfrotto tripod heads. Quick release functionality works the same as existing Manfrotto plates. Simply turn the thumbscrew and depress the release pin to slide the plate backward out of the base.
A built lens adapter support system is integrated into the base which is great for attaching to adapters with a 1/4"-20 on the bottom like Wooden Camera MFT to PL Mount Pro (1/4-20 Support Foot), and also many Metabones products.
If lightweight 15mm support is desired, the cage may be combined with Unified DSLR 15mm Baseplate to provide pass through rod support (sold separately).
