Core SWX DV-GP3-XT60 GoPRO Regulator Cable Y
The Core SWX DV-GP3-XT60 allows you to power your GoPro Hero 3/3+ camera via an available XT60 connector from your Quad, Hex or Octocopter(i.e DJI Phantom battery pack with XT60 connector). The cable will convert the available power(3S-6S battery pack) to the proper operable voltage for the GoPro camera. The Y adapter cable allows you to tap of the copter power, and power both the copter as well as GoPro from the same power source.
The GoPro draws minimal power, and will reduce flight times by no more then 30seconds per hour of available copter power. While other options maybe available, the Switronix DV-GP3 adapter locks into the battery receptacle on the back of the camera, so you no longer need to rely on the USB connection on the side of the camera which can come out easily. Providing a reliable and secure power connection is essential when using the camera, since the GoPro's are often put in precarious, high impact situations. Whether wind turbulence, motor vibration, or impact, you can insure the camera will be powered. The adapter also allows the use of the front submersible housing of the GoPro and the skeleton back. Covering the back skeleton housing openings with some gaffer tape, would prove to offer a splash/water resistant housing for many situations.
The cable is offered in a 30.48 cm length which should provide plenty of length when mounted below the copter or via brushless gimbal. For the DJI Phantom, the gauge of the cable is thin enough coming from the DV-GP3-XT60 to allow you to close the battery door and not pinch the cable.
