JVC GY-HC550E is a supreme 4K handheld camcorder for ENG, production, and sports. Up to 4K 60p/50p ProRes 4:2:2 10-bit recording and advanced IP connectivity from any location to anywhere in the world.

GY-HC550 shoots in both NTSC and PAL compatible frame rates and is designed to seamlessly work with both a traditional as well as IP workflow. Built into the camera are a variety of valuable broadcast related features such as a broadcast overlay, GPS metadata, and MPEG-2 encoding in HD for easy interfacing with legacy broadcasting systems. The camera features 1" CMOS sensor and an integrated 20x optical zoom lens, while the camera can create a 40x digital zoom. The camera can capture in UHD, HD, SD, and you can record SD as proxy, recording up to 30p to the built-in media card slots or 60/50p to an optional SSD. The camera supports HDR by recording in HLG or JLog1 (10-bit).

Built-in wireless LAN with Zixi error correction. Never before has this level of connectivity been available in a compact, handheld camcorder. Ideal for broadcast newsgathering, it's equipped with JVC's powerful communications engine that delivers high quality, low latency error-free video right from the camera, wirelessly. And while shooting, your crew can view return video and receive IFB from your facility. With its integrated 20x lens there are no compromises in image quality. There are plenty of media options including SDHC, SDXC and SDD. You can even shoot and record to SSD (solid state drive) media in a wide variety of formats, including 10-bit ProRes 422 at 4K resolution and 50/60p frame rates. Everything you need is included, including built-in dual channel (2.4GHz, 5GHz) broadband radios. Just plug in an appropriate media card and begin shooting, recording and streaming.
