The LAOWA 24mm T14 2X Periprobe brings completely new shooting possibilities to the market. With the Macro Probe, unique shots were taken from the perspective of insects that would never have been possible with other lenses. It has long since ceased to be considered an insider tip in the professional world, but is now part of the standard range of internationally active and renowned cine distributors. The unusual housing shape and the professional features, such as a waterproof front panel, offer unprecedented creative possibilities for filmmakers and photographers. The new LAOWA Periprobe takes all of these properties to a new level. The Periprobe is supplied as a set with interchangeable tubes. As before, one tube can simply take pictures straight ahead, the other 90° "around the corner". With an angle of view of 85° and a very small minimum distance of 2cm, breathtaking perspectives are possible even in the smallest of spaces. With a focal length of 24mm, it is a wide-angle macro lens for full-frame cameras with a maximum magnification of 2:1. The Periprobe has a wider perspective than other macro telephoto lenses and a larger aperture range from T14 to T40. Therefore, it has a greater depth of field at short distances.

The long and tubular lens barrel, consisting of 28 lens elements in 19 groups, enables many unusual shooting situations. With the 40 cm long and 2 cm thin telescopic tube, you can easily take pictures inside models, tree cavities or underwater (up to a depth of approx. 20 cm) without a special housing. It also guarantees a safe distance from the motifs, which is particularly important when photographing animals. The built-in LED light on the tip provides a bright light source. As a power source, you can use a power bank or a USB power adapter. With the enclosed dimmable USB cable, the light can be adjusted in 11 levels. The exchangeable lens barrel makes it easy to switch between the 90° periscope and the straight 0° macro probe. So you have two lenses in one. In addition, the lens can be rotated 360° along the longitudinal axis (can be controlled via module 0.8) by unlocking the orientation ring on the coupling mechanism. The image detail or alignment can be fixed by locking again. Other accessories can also be installed on the hole at the top of the lens. The cine lens with a stepless aperture ring is equipped with standardized module 0.8 toothed rings. Focusing and aperture setting is done manually.
